Chairman of the audit committee
Edward Murray is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, and is a member of the Advisory Council of British Linen Advisers, an independent corporate finance business. Prior to that, he was a director of British Linen Bank. Edward is finance consultant to Turcan Connell, private client solicitors and asset managers, a non-executive director of Renova Energy plc and is a non-executive member of theCourt of the University of St Andrews. With a background of over 20 years in corporate finance, the board will benefit from his experience of providing strategic financial advice to companies with a view to maximising shareholder value. He was appointed to the board of Securities Trust on 11 May 2005, and is due to stand for election at this year's AGM.
